Mr. Hitchcock is a seasoned technology and digital media business executive and entrepreneur who has has served at the executive level for enterprises, start-ups and Fortune 500 companies in mobile and internet technologies, digital media and publishing, television branding, production and venture capital.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the Internet and media industries. As President, Executive Producer of Skyrocket Pictures, Lawrence oversaw award-winning strategic rebranding projects for some of the leading broadcast networks and television stations– MSNBC, ABC Family / Disney Channel, CBS Sports, NBC Nightly News, The WB Television Network among others.

He brings a unique and divergent skillset in business development, sales, venture capital, content creation, software and hardware development. He has led projects and companies from concept to capital, architecting technology development, leading development, creative and marketing teams while brokering the business development and strategic partnerships that lead to success.

Mr. Hitchcock has built strategic partnerships with Seuss Enterprises, LLC., National Geographic, Harper Collins, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Pearson PLC, Tom Clancy, Qualcomm, United Airlines and more.

His executive experience includes CEO/Founder of kidthing, a digital media platform for young children’s content.  kidthing created hundreds of animated e-books and digital interactive games for  Seuss Enterprises, Penguin Young Readers, Harper Collins, National Geographic, Charlesbridge, Garfield and more and reached more than 35,000 classrooms throughout America.

At ITU Ventures, a venture firm focused on seed and early stage investments in high-technology from leading universities like MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley and Caltech, he was responsible for the daily operations of the portfolio companies, often servicing as Interim CEO and Board Member. He also on the firm’s investment committee, evaluating potential investments and was a key member of ITU’s venture capital fund-raising team, raising $36 million for ITU Fund 2.

His business development extends to the philanthropic arm of the conglomerate, the Pearson Foundation, where he spearheaded the We Give Books program (strategic partnerships, state-wide program planning, joint ventures). We Give Books, a digital initiative that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don’t have them, simply by reading online.

On the more colorful side, Mr. Hitchcock served as Producer for the Rock Bottom Remainders Tour, a band that includes some of today’s most shining literary lights including Stephen King, Dave Barry, Matt Groening and Amy Tan.

Most recently, Mr. Hitchcock’s technology know how has been beneficial to recent software development projects including Pearson Education’s Common Core Digital Curriculum development. An Executive Producer, Mr. Hitchcock spearheaded software architecture, brand, UI/UX, and digital media asset development including mobile interactive apps, games, videos and music.
